I like the George Foreman grills. I especially like the fact that the grill plates come off for each cleaning on this unit. It DOES have a couple of drawbacks that one should be aware of. 1) When you a grilling something greasy such as hamburgers, the top grill drips grease behind the unit when the lid is lifted fully. It lands on the electric coil in the back of the unit. 2) I have learned to totally remove the grill plates to clean front and back because somehow grease can get on the underside of the grill plate. When one turns it on for the second or third grilling and it smokes, you will know that it’s because grease has hit the heating unit. Even with these two drawbacks, I still like it. I would probably buy the larger unit next time but this size does two burgers with room to spare and is fantastic for bacon.

Working great so far. This is the base model and has no temperature setting or on/off switch. Plug it in to turn it on. Goes to a set temperature. Has a light that turns off when its at the desired temperature.br /br /I have grilled steak, chicken breast, fish and made panini sandwiches. All came out pretty good. I keep mine very clean. One thing I do is as soon as I’m done grilling I take a paper towel, wet it thoroughly, unplug the grill, lay the paper tower on the grill and close it. This way the steam keeps the food soft and loose and its easy to clean up after we are done eating.br /br /Since this grill has no temperature setting make sure the marinades/sauces etc you use for grilling are not going to burn at the temperature this grill runs at.br /br /The scraping spatula that comes with this grill is pretty cheap quality. If you use it while grill is hot it starts to melt.br /br /This grill get pretty hot all over so be careful to not touch any surfaces when hot. I am pretty sure the plastic will get brittle with time but that is to be expected.
