This is my very first tent for my second camping trip ever. I bought this tent for a 2 night camping trip I am going on in a couple days with some friends, and I am a city girl to the core. I bought it for my boyfriend (6 foot 5 inches tall) and I (5 foot 5 inches) to sleep in. I initally was going to buy the 3 person one for the two of us, but thought with his hight and all the stuff I will end up bringing I should go with the 4 person for the two of us. I feel like it may be a little too big… but at least maybe then it will last for many camping trips, even after I get a dog.br /br /So, when it arrived today the first thing I wanted to do was set it up – so I did exactly that, and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to do it all by myself in less then a half hour (having never set up a tent before). br /br /I loved how easy set up was, as someone else noted I love that the instructions are sewed into the bag. I also like that when I stuffed it back into the bag, I did it with very little difficulty. It also packs up pretty small. I also like the zip windows and the two pockets on the walls to hold things like my lip gloss and cell phone within reach. br /br /I think so far the only thing I don’t like is that the tent itself isn’t completely covered – you must put the rain cover on top to get your privacy, and at the same time anyone could really just stick there head up underneath it to look in… and since I am going with a bunch of friends, I would kind of like to have a bit more privacy for my boyfriend!

I bought 2 of these fans about 5 years ago. At first we only used them at night. I was AMAZED that I could run it all night (it is COMPLETELY SILENT) on a 4 night trip and it was still going strong. I’ve since bought 2 more as gifts. Sometimes I attach them to the canopy over our picnic table or just carry them. We use these fans on every trip and I never worry about them falling or breaking or running out of juice. I don’t know what others are doing with their fans to have such poor performance. I keep mine in a coffee can between trips, in a hot attic (w/o battery of course) and they work time and and time again with no problems. I just pull off the propellers and put the pieces in the can. Simple. With the magnetic grip you can attach it right to the gear loft and enjoy a great breeze just like having a ceiling fan. I love them. By the way… you might think open blades are a safety issue but they are very gentle and stop the instant they encounter an obstruction. I’ve stuck my fingers in them many times (as have my children) and they have been totally harmless. The blade stops instantly and it doesn’t hurt one bit. It’s kind of a good party joke. The magnet is super strong and holds tight. I wish I had these when my kids were in strollers.

This tent held up great under both heavy rain and wind storms. We purchased this tent to use at dog shows. We travel with two small dogs and sleep on a queen air mattress. We setup in farmer fields and not usually at campgrounds. The tent did leak a little the first time we used it and since that time I have sealed the seams with no other leaks. Our first two outings were in terrible rain storms with strong winds. The tent was great. However on our last outing in October, it was cold at night once the temperature gets lower the cold wind blows in the top of the tent under the rain-fly–that would be great in hot weather but not on cold nights. The setup is easy and along with another reviewer–I don’t extend the poles after I set it up. (To difficult) The rain-fly does really require two people on a windy day to put on.br /br /The screen porch is very nice to put things in like coolers, drying racks and dog crates. Overall we are very happy with this tent and would recommend it.

I have used other large tents but always with some problems of leaking or not really designed well for comfort and convenience. However useing our new Coleman Montana tent for the first time, we found it very well designed and constructed for convenience like a new door type of entry, automatic roll screen covers, plus it was fairly easy to set-up. Set-up and tear-down in the future will be even easier and faster now that we have done it once or so, but with any large tent with exterior support poles it does take two people. On the first weekend we woke-up to a pouring rain with no moisture at all in the tent. The small awning over the door is great when raining. This may be the only large tent that actually fits back into the canvas carrying bag without much trouble.br /br /Although there may be many good camping and outdoor products on the market, I feel that you can’t go wrong in buying the Coleman brand on any of their camping equipment or products. They’ve been around a long time and know how to make quality designed and built products, assureing returning and new customers.

I purchased this tent last summer in anticipation of a 4-day camping trip. I will admit that i was initially attracted to its aesthetic appeal, however, the monsterous amount of space and ample screening sealed the deal!br /br /I set it up in the yard soon after it arrived to seal the seams and to acclimate myself with it’s assembly. The instructions are stitched right into the carrier bag so they can’t be misplaced or torn – a nice feature, in my opinion.br /br /The poles are color coded and easy to fit. The tent went up in about 15 minutes…. and that was just because I was new to the process. br /br /On to seam sealing… You are going to need more than one bottle of seam sealer to do the whole thing… I got 2/3rds of the way around and ran out. I packed it up after that and finished sealing the day that we arrived at the campground. br /br /During our stay we received one night of TERRIBLE rain! This tent DID NOT LEAK !!! Not one drop! It was really fantastic!br /br /Dismantling is simple. The tent does fit back in the bag (with a little effort…. be sure to squeeze out all of the air as you roll and do so as tightly as possible). br /br /Th

I absolutely love this tent. If your looking for something lightweight and compactible, this is it. It’s so easy to set up and super easy to take down and put back into its carrying bag. The materials are the same as whatr you would get with any expensive high-end tent. I fit in this tent just fine with my girlfriend. We slept in it outside in the rain just to test it and we stayed completely dry. This tent has the best full rain fly I’ve ever used. I recommend this tent to any fellow backpacker and to anyone just looking for a great tent. Coleman has really stepped up its game, as far as making quality tents.

This tent is exactly what I was looking for. It sets up in less than 5 mins and is roomy as hell. I love being able to open up all the windows for a screen house effect. The tent also packs up pretty good too. The bag supplied is ample and extra straps are supplied. What I don’t like about the tent is for the size of the tent I was expecting more storage room to hold things, more pockets and compartments. It also lacks access holes to the outside. I used my tent in the rain and it held up without any leaks. One other dislike I have is the strength of the poles I feel the poles should be a tad bit thicker. I look forward to many years with this tent.

I bought this tent for my trip to Yellowstone. I loved how I could have it set up in under 10 minutes and that it only took one person. This allowed my friend to get the food cooked faster upon our late arrival to the campsite. It’s a good quality tent as far as the material, the zippers work well and don’t snag. I love the vestibule and how you can keep shoes and other gear out of the tent, yet protected from the elements. The all mesh tent body has great pros and not so good cons. br /Pros: The first time I used it was Father’s Day weekend. My 5 yr. old nephew and I stayed in it without the rainfly on as it was 70+ degrees overnight (yes even in northern Wisconsin we have great summers). The mesh was a great feature as it allowed us to watch the stars and millions of fireflies which had my chatter nephew speechless. Great experience! ; D You have the feeling of sleeping right out under the stars without the annoying bugs . The size of the tent is great not too big that the tent is annoying to pack or find enough room to setup, yet not too small so that 3 people and a good bit of gear can still fit in it. 4 people really do fit comfortably. The base of the tent is made of good quality/ durable material. It’s a little noisy but I’d take noise over a leaky floor any day. br /Cons: The support sleeves that the poles slide into are made of the same material as the tent body. It’d be better to make these with a more rugged/ durable material as the metal female ends of the poles have rubbed holes through the material in the 4 months i’ve owned the tent. Also the sleeves made a good space for earwigs to crawl into as earwigs are a common nuisance in northern wisconsin. It’d be better and easier if there were plastic tabs to place over the poles like other tents I’ve seen in place of the sleeves. Also like another customer mentioned there aren’t any loops or hooks to hang a lantern/ flashlight or fan from the top of the tent. Also with the tent body almost entirely mesh, it allows too much air flow on cold night even with the rain fly on. Our first night in Yellowstone the temperature dropped down to 38 degrees and this was in the middle of August. It made for a really cold night. It would have been nice to be able to zip something over the door to protect from the big space of the vestibule where cold air was gathering. The other sides of the tents were close enough that it didn’t allow much air flow in, but something over the door would definitely be a nice addition. The stakes are light which make it great for packing, but they also bend pretty easily, I think about 5 of them are bent out of whack already.br /br /A few minor adjustments and this tent good tent would be amazing! I know I had a lot of cons, but I really do love this tent. I’ve just been bringing an extra blanket for insulation and wear my snowboarding baselayers under my sweats at night. Like I said I’ve only had the tent for 4 mos. but I’ve used it at least 12 times. I think that speaks for itself. A great tent, easily packed, easily assembled and offers great versatility for weather and a great price with fast shipping from Amazon!

Here’s the damage report:br /The plastic on the LED light’s is cracked, I’ve replaced the batteries once, and the blades are slightly damaged.br /br /…not bad for it’s 4th year…br /br /Really durable fan, I use it every year at boyscout summer camp, and the damage hasn’t even hurt the performance. I Replaced the batteries once year, but that’s just because I thought they would run out. Excellent fan, a bit heavy yes, but when batteries are the source of the power the unit usually gets heavy. Another good fan is the O2Cool Portable Canopy/Tent Fan, so you should check out my review on that.

She set it up on a curio shelf in her dining room, adjusted it downward, and soon the ceiling’s warm air was wafting down on her. This fan is a great buy.
