This is an excellent knife and complements a number of other knives I have extremely well.br /br /It cuts with a degree of precision that I have just not found with other bread knives (and I have used most of the well-known brands) which can sometimes be too flimsy and move around when cutting bread with a hard crust such as a good sour-dough loaf or they are too thick or become blunt too easily. Also being offset has distinct advantages particularly in not hitting your knuckles when slicing.br /br /This knife is one of the workhorses in my cooking exploits and having a reliable knife that cuts consistently across many bread/cakes types is really helpful whether it is a hard crust loaf as mentioned above or it is a cake I am slicing horizontally to fill with fresh cream and fruit this knife is always a delight to use.br /br /Even my wife who is not particularly interested in knifes and cooking loves to use this knife and have said on more than one occasion that this is the best knife we own.br /br /Simply it is a delight to use and has that added advantage of being beautiful to look at as well as being part of the truly excellent Shun knife range.br /br /If I had to limit myself to three knives then this would certainly be one of the three (fortunately I don’t).br /br /Highly recommended!
